Dorus CD Review – Bobby Harvey
“This
talented trio of Highland Musicians have become a well balanced and
exciting group to listen to. Their original arrangements of even the
simplest tunes give a new life to the melodies. With a varied section of
Gaelic and Scottish tunes and tasty use of vocals, Border pipes, ‘cello
and guitar, the overall recording is first class. All members of the
group are products of the traditional music course at the Royal Scottish
Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow and this reflects on the standard
demanded by the course which, although overdue, are now producing the
cream like this. Another excellent debut from a fine young band from
Skipinnish Recordings.”
